Percolation in a hierarchical random graph

چکیده
We study asymptotic percolation as N → ∞ in an infinite random graph GN embedded in the hierarchical group of order N , with connection probabilities depending on an ultrametric distance between vertices. GN is structured as a cascade of finite random subgraphs of (approximate) Erdös-Renyi type. We give a criterion for percolation, and show that percolation takes place along giant components of giant components at the previous level in the cascade of subgraphs for all consecutive hierarchical distances. The proof involves a hierarchy of random graphs with vertices having an internal structure and random connection probabilities.

متن کاملArandomhierarchical Lattice: the Series-parallel Graph and Its Properties
We consider a sequence of random graphs constructed by a hierarchical procedure. The construction replaces existing edges by pairs of edges in series or parallel with probability p and 1−p respectively. We investigate the effective resistance across the graphs, first-passage percolation on the graphs and the Cheeger constants of the graphs as the number of edges tends to infinity. In each case ...
متن کاملPercolation in an ultrametric space
We study percolation in the hierarchical lattice of order N where the probability of connection between two points separated by distance k is of the form ck/N , δ > −1. Since the distance is an ultrametric, there are significant differences with percolation in the Euclidean lattice. We consider three regimes: δ < 1, where percolation occurs, δ > 1, where it does not occur, and δ = 1 which is th...
متن کاملDiffusion on the scaling limit of the critical percolation cluster in the diamond hierarchical lattice
We construct critical percolation clusters on the diamond hierarchical lattice and show that the scaling limit is a graph directed random recursive fractal. A Dirichlet form can be constructed on the limit set and we consider the properties of the associated Laplace operator and diffusion process. In particular we contrast and compare the behaviour of the high frequency asymptotics of the spect...
